Consumer Reports has announced the ten 2014 cars with most improved testing scores. The Chevrolet Impala was number one with a gain of 32 points (from 63 to 95 on an 100 point scale). A score of 95 places the Impala at the top of the 2014 class, quite a turn-around from the 2013 model.
Other high performing models in the top ten include the Audi A6 (79 to 93) and the Honda Accord (80 to 90). You can find the entire list at Consumer Reports.
